Two residential houses accommodate senior people of 70 or more years of age. Magdalena Chit is responsible for the care of residents who are widowed or who have no family at all. The residential care home for the elderly was founded in July 29th 2007 and receives financial support from the Maria Schregel relief organization. When it first opened the residents comprised one man and four women. Today there are three men and nine women.
The home is surrounded by a vegetable garden which is happily tended by the elderly people. As well as enabling residents to contribute to their own self-sufficiency, the Maria Schregel organization has provided them with the means to enhance the quality of their lives.
